the end of 2007 the face of current hatchback car segment will not be
the same as there would be a revolution on wheels in name of Fiat Grande
Punto. After joining hands this would be the first product from joint
venture between Italy's leading car maker Fiat Motors and India's
trusted car maker Tata Motors. Fiat Grande Punto would be a premium B
segment hatchback car powered with a 1.3-litre multijet diesel engine
that is similar to the Common Rail Direct Injection (CRDi) technology
capable of generating generous output of 75bhp.
Fiat Grande Punto would boast a stunning sporty look with host of
practical features of design, comfort, safety, style and spaciousness.
The interiors of this hatchback will have comfortable seats of fine
quality fabric, driver's seat with height adjustment, roomy boot space,
dashboard and instrument panel in catchy design. The larger wheelbase
would provide this small car a big presence on the road.
Expected to move on Indian roads by the end of this year Fiat Grande
Punto may have a price range starting from Rs. 5.00-6.50 lacs to take on
the other rival models from Hyundai and Maruti in this segment.
