• I bought a new Hyundai Sonata Embera last month and I would like to differentiate between the previous Hyundai Sonata and the new Hyundai Sonata Embera . Sonata Embera is the bigger and better version of its earlier luxury sedan. With exuberant and stylish looks, designed-for-India suspension system and silent and powerful engine Sonata is a nice option in luxury sedan segment. Equipped with 2.4 liter four cylinder VTVT engine that delivers maximum power of 165 ps at 5800 rpm and maximum torque 23.6 kgm at 4250 rpm, Hyundai Sonata has all the qualities to be your prestigious car.

• I drove the new Hyundai Sonata Embera from Delhi to Jaipur and I was impressed by the cars performance as a whole. The light-weight and newly-designed engine block of Hyundai Sonata makes it much higher fuel efficient. The body looks distinctly different from its predecessor Sonata. It is 53mm longer, 12 mm wider and 53mm higher than earlier version. The interiors come with blushing two-tone styling - done in beige and black color. An attractive car.

• Hyundai Sonata Embera has a list of disadvantages. Starting from immense wind noise which you can feel while driving this luxury sedan at high speeds. The rear seat comfort is hopeless which limits luxury to papers. The main flaw is the sluggish gear shift. Transmission is very poor. Hyundai Sonata still needs a lot of operation from Hyundai.

• Hyundai Sonata Embera has a number of drawbacks. It seems that Hyundai has mislead the designing of this car and ended up in a mystery which they themselves can't understand. The structure of Hyundai Sonata is not as solid as compared to other cars in its segment. The rigidity and flexibility in its design is into some real questioning. Hyundai needs to take some serious considerations of these flaws in Hyundai Sonata Embera.
