The Board of Control for Cricket in India allowed the squabbling Kochi franchisee to participate in the fourth edition of the Indian Premier League, ending the suspense over the fate of team. Team kochi is owned by Kochi Cricket pvt Limited and will be coached by Geoff Lawson. The highest paid players being Mahela Jayawardhane, Muttiah Muralitharan, Ravindra Jadeja and Sreesanth. Some of the Indian players of the Kochi team are RP Singh, Parthiv Patel and VVS Laxman.
