The Sri Lankan cricket team is administered by
Sri Lanka Cricket. It first played an international cricket in 1975. The
team received Test status in 1981 and became the 8th Test nation. The
Lankan won the World Cup 1996. Mahela Jayawardene leaded the Sri Lanka
