successive FIFA World Cup finals (1994, 1998, 2002, 2006). The team
is a newcomer into the soccer arena. The royal family had forbidden
football in the kingdom until 1951. The team will be playing in
Group H with Spain, Ukraine and Tunisia.
The key players are Mohamed Al-Deayea who plays domestically for
Asian side Al-Hilal and has been capped an impressive 173 times for
Saudi Arabia and Sami Al Jaber, called the hero of Saudi Arabia.
The largest win of the team was against Macao (3-1) in 1993 and the
worst defeat was against Germany (8-0) in 2002.
