The Centre for DNA Fingerprinting and Diagnostics CDFD is an autonomous organization funded by the Department of Biotechnology DBT, Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India. CDFD receives funding also from other agencies on specific collaborative projects. In addition, DNA Fingerprinting and Diagnostics services provided by the centre support some of the activities.

Department of Social Justice and Empowerment
The Social Justice & Empowerment Department is working independently since the bifurcation of Social Welfare Department in the year 1992. The Department is implementing a number of schemes for the care, protection and rehabilitation of socially under privileged. Earlier the Social Justice & Empowerment Department was working within a very small area having few welfare schemes. Now, it has expanded its area of schemes and has implemented schemes since the creation of the Departments covering beneficiaries belonging to urban as well as rural areas. At present, the Department is implementing a number of schemes for the welfare of orphan/destitute children, juveniles in conflict with law, Widows, destitute women and their dependents, mentally retarded children, the blind, deaf & dumb in the state.
Minority Welfare Department
The Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) Scheme is aimed at holistic development of children and pregnant/lactating mothers from disadvantaged section, by providing services through Anganwadi Centres such as supplementary nutrition, immunization, health check up, referral services, pre-school and non-formal education.
Directorate of Economics and Statistics
Directorate of Economics and Statistics is designated as a nodal agency for carrying out various statistical activities of the State. At Districts level all the 16 districts have “Districts Planning and Statistical Office” working under DES and Block Level Investigators are working under districts offices.
The Office of the Accountant General, Nagaland came into existence in the year 1973. Subsequently, with the restructuring of the offices in the Indian Audit and Accounts Department, with effect from 1st April 1984, the office of the Accountant General (Audit) and the office of the Senior Deputy Accountant General (A&E) were created, both functioning under the overall control of the Accountant General (Audit), Nagaland, Kohima.
Punjab State AIDS Control Society
Punjab State AIDS Control Society (PSACS) was registered in 1998 for implementing National AIDS Control Programme. NACP is a 100% centrally sponsored project. PSACS started functioning in 1999. Principal Secretary Health is the Chairman of the Society Secretary Health has been designated as Project Director of the society. Additional Project Director is the technical head assisted by Joint Directors, Deputy Directors, Assistant Directors, other officers and supporting staff.
Jawaharlal Nehru Customs House
Jawaharlal Nehru Port is one of the 11 major ports of India and was commissioned on 26th May, 1989. The port is situated along the eastern shore of Mumbai Harbour, southeastward of Elephanta Island. Jawaharlal Nehru Port is an all weather tidal port and it is the only Indian port built to international standards, with a high level of automation and computerized functioning. It has a land area of 2,500 hectares.

Nagaland State Designated Agency
Nagaland State Designated Agency for implementing the Energy Conservation Act, 2001 in the state. It was established during the year 2005 vide BEE concurrence. NSDA is one agency where efforts and initiatives are taken up for the state towards spreading awareness among the general public on Conservation of Energy.
