Law commission Government of Goa
The first Law Commission was appointed by the government of Union Territory of Goa, Daman and Diu on 20th July 1968 in pursuant to the government resolution dated 18.07.1968 to examine the Portuguese Laws in force in Goa, Daman and Diu and to repeal the same wherever necessary by undertaking legislation.
Variable Energy Cyclotron Centre
Variable Energy Cyclotron Centre is a premier R & D unit of the Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India. The forests in Haryana are classified as Reserved Forests, Protected Forests, Unclassed Forests, Areas closed U/S 38 of Indian Forest Act (IFA, 1927) and Areas closed U/S 4 & 5 of Punjab Land Preservation Act (PLPA, 1900). Large Reserved Forest areas are mainly confined to the Himalayan ranges in Panchkula and Yamunanagar districts. Small reserved forests are found at a number of places in the districts of Yamunanagar, Kaithal, Ambala, Jind and Hisar.
Heavy Water Board
The main objective of HWB was to become self sufficient in production of Heavy Water, but it has also exported 126 metric tonnes of heavy water to South Korea in three consignments and the recent one during the year 2002. The Board is now proud of announcing its capability to supply heavy water of any specification as per demand from anywhere in the world.
NGO Partnership System
The NGO Partnership System is a platform that provides space for interface between and VOs/NGOs and key Government Ministries / Departments / Government Bodies, to start with. Later it is proposed to cover all Central Ministries / Departments / Government Bodies.
Jammu Kashmir Police
Militants tried to sneak in to the house of Abdul Gani Dar district president Congress-I resident of Rohama Pulwama, falling under the jurisdiction of police station Rajpora. Personnel Security officers attached with the district president challenged the intruders with his service rifle. One militant who was later identified as Aslam Kalas @ Janbaz son of Alam Kalas resident of Nasarpora Keller of Hizbul Mujahideen outfit got killed while another militant got injured in the shoot out.
Nagaland State Designated Agency
Nagaland State Designated Agency for implementing the Energy Conservation Act, 2001 in the state. It was established during the year 2005 vide BEE concurrence. NSDA is one agency where efforts and initiatives are taken up for the state towards spreading awareness among the general public on Conservation of Energy.
