- Best ever Asian Games for India
Asian Games 2010 proved unfolded as the best one ever in Indian sporting history. India bagged 64 medals in all including 14 gold, 17 silver and 33 bronze medal. Athletics was its peak and the sprinters bought laurels to the country mainly in sprint events. However, top medal hopes like Saina Nehwal, Gagan Narang , Krishna Poonia etc were not upto the mark but still India managed to sneak through at sixth place in medals tally. Indian campaign concluded with a golden punch from boxer Vijender Singh.
- India's gold run continue in athletics
Indian women's continued their golden run in 4X400m relay event after sweeping gold at Asian Games 2010. The team of four female Indian sprinters set the track ablaze with their lightning speed and reached the finishing line in in 3min 29.02sec. This is their second consecutive gold in an international event after the Commonwealth Games 2010.
- Vijender delivers the golden punch
World no. 1 boxer Vijender Singh delivered the golden punch at Guangzhou Asian Games bagging India's second gold in boxing. The ace Indian boxer defeated two-time world champion Abbos Atoev into submission with a commanding 7-0 triumph in 75kg. The other two boxers in finals had to settle for the silver medal but the yellow metal won by Vijender provided a golden finish to India's campaign in the Asian Games 2010.

It was a golden Thursday for India at Asian games 2010 as the gold medal tally reached to double figures. Hurdlers Ashwini Chidananda and Joseph Abraham bagged gold medals in athletics at 400m events taking the gold medal haul to 9. After this, boxing struck for India as Vikas Krishan delivered the golden punch to take India's gold medal tally into double figures.

- Five Indian boxers at gold today
India is expecting five gold medals today at 2010 Asian Games in Guangzhou. Five Indian boxers are set to compete in their gold medal bouts today after dominating wins in semi finals. Unfortunatly, CWG gold medalist Suranjoy Singh and Paramkit Samota had to settle for bronze medals in their categories. But the contingent of five boxers including Vikas Krishan (60kg), Santhosh Kumar Virothu (64kg), Vijender Singh (75kg), Dinesh Kumar (81kg) and Manpreet Singh (91kg) is expected to get India a dream gold medal haul in the 16th Asiad.
- Somdev creates history
Indian tennis sensation Somdev Devvarman created history by clinching India's first gold in men singles tennis at Asian Games. The new tennis star of India won his second gold from the tennis competition after defeating top seed and world number 44 Denis Istomin 6-1, 6-2. He is the first Indian to play in the gold-medal match at the men's singles event in Asian games and moved a step forward by clinching India's seventh gold.
- Gold for India in tennis
India clinched its sixth gold medal at Asian Games 2010 as Somdev Dev Barman and Sanam Singh won the final of mens double event in tennis. It's the first gold medal for India in the tennis event in this edition of the Games after they defeated Chinese pair of Gong Maoxin and Li Zhe 6-3, 6-7(4), 10-8 in the final.
- Sania brings silver for India
After grabbing a bronze in women singles event, ace Indian tennis star Sania Mirza went on for a silver in doubles event also. The Indian duo of Sania Mirza and Vishnu Vardhan win the first set but couldn't maintain the rhythm and lost the match in tie break set. Sania had a satisfying campaign by adding two medals in her kitty in three events of Guangzhou Asian games she participated.
- Bronze in archery
Indian archers bagged a bronze medal in 16th Asian Games 2010 at Guangzhou, China. The trio of Rahul Banerjee, Mangal Singh Champia and Jayanta Talukdar missed out on the gold medal match by loosing to Korea but managed to sneak through in the bronze medal game.
