Nalanda - Nalanda was a Renowned Buddhist university of higher learning but now only the ruins of this university remains.

BodhGaya - BodhGaya is the holy Buddhist site where Buddha meditated under a pipal tree known as Bodhi tree and attained salvation.

Vaishali - Vaishali is the birthplace of Lord Mahavira, the greatest profounder of Jainism. Also seen here is the world famous Ashoka Pillar, built by Emperor Asoka. It is made of a single piece of red sandstone with a life size lion carved at the top.

Pawapuri - Pawapuri is the sacred place for Jains. It is at this place that Lord Mahavira, twenty fourth incarnation of Jains attained enlightment.

Jalmandir - Jalmandir is a major pilgrimage for Jains.

Vishnupad temple - It is a temple where devotees pay homage to 40 cm long footprint believed to be of Lord Vishnu.

Harminder Sahib - is one of the most sacred shrines of Sikhism. Guru Gobind Singh, the tenth guru of Sikhs was born in Patna - the capital territory of the state. It is the second of the four great thrones of the Sikhs. There is a museum which exhibits the photos, holy scriptures, and personal possessions of the Guru.

State Museum - State Museum contains a rare collection of coins, paintings, bronze and stone sculptures of Maurya and Gupta reign. In addition to this, Ashes of Buddha, a First World War Cannon, Jain sculpture can also be found.

Martyr's Memorial - Martyr's Memorial .is a sculpture, which honours the seven freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives in Quit India Movement in 1942.

Sher Shah's mausoleum - is a remarkable monument built of red sandstone.

Golghar - Golghar is a 27 meter high hemispherical shaped granary built in 1786 to store grain against famines.

Bokaro - Bokaro hosts the country's biggest steel mill - Bokaro Steel Plant.

Jamshedpur - Jamshedpur is the steel city founded by Jamshedji Nasarwanji Tata.
