The Agonda Beach
One of the most isolated beaches of South Goa, Agonda beach is a favorite haunts amongst those looking for a solitude. The three km long strech of the white sands is lined with palm and casuarinas trees. One won't come across many tourists on the beach, as there are very less 'happenings' on the beach. There are very few facilities available here with few tourists, no souvenir stalls, and no restaurants. It is also not safe to swim out too far on this beach
Major Attractions
Cabo de Rama
The old fort of Cabo de Rama is said to be pre-historic, dating back to the era of Lord Rama, during Ramayana. It is said that Lord Rama stayed here for few days during his 14 years exile from his kingdom. The atmosphere of the fort creates a sense of history and drama that very few would fail to appreciate. There is a small church within the walls of the fort.

Agonda is easily accessible from Margao, Panjim and other cities of Goa, by the means of buses, taxis and motorbikes. Stay options near Agonda range in all degrees of budget.
