Baga Beach
Baga
beach is another Goan beach that passes off as a 'happening' beach.'
The Baga beach is amongst the most visited beaches of Goa. Lively
and yet very peaceful, Baga beach is favored by those who want to
spend a day in peace and night in the typical Goan style. Baga is a
few miles south of Anjuna and is basically an extension of
Calagnute. Lying in the lee of a rocky, wooded headland, the only
difference between this far northern end of the beach and its more
congested centre is that the scenery here is marginally more varied
and picturesque and the beach is comparatively less crowded. Baga
has the best range of restaurants and liveliest nightlife in the
area
Baga beach is more of a fishing beach. The Baga River flows down
one side of it offering a pleasant diversion for children and those
who love the water but can't risk the rip currents that swirl round
the mouth. Where the river and the sea meet, and on the far right
bank, tourists at Baga beach will see a group of black rocks against
which the sea crashes.
Amongst the popular beaches in India is the Baga beach
Goa. Baga Goa lies 10 km west of Mapusa and really speaking is an
extension of Calangute. Baga Goa is the perfect getaway for those
looking for a little bit of peace and quiet after the activity of
the other two beaches. Baga is a fishing beach with brown sand that
sees a lot of international tourists sun-bathing in its golden sun,
as a grove of palms gently sways in the wind.
The Baga River flows along one side of Baga beach Goa offering a
good alternative for children and those who are not too confident
about swimming in the sea. Baga Goa's nightlife is the liveliest in
Goa and is the perfect expression of the Goan and Western mix of
culture.
