South Goa Beach Guide

The picture perfect Varca beaches have a unique feature of being preferred by those who want to spend time in quiet environs away from the crowd. The beach is 2 Km from Benaulim beach and is among the favorite haunts of those who come to South Goa for beach tourism. The Verca beach is very clean and quiet, as the tourist influx is very low here. Apart from being a winter break mecca, these miles long stretch of gorgeous white sand beaches are a relaxing family destination and nature lover's paradise. The beach has a lot of restaraunt along the shore, which are specialised in local as well other cuisines.
Major Attractions
Dolphin watching is a major activity on the shore. Arrangements for dolphin watching are made on the beach side by the agents and the hotels around. But the beach is a perfect location for lazying around and indulging in regular beach activities like sun-bathing, walking and castle making. A boat cruise on River Sal is an absolute must to see the dolphins surfing, jumping, and rolling.
Getting There
Varca beach is close to Margao, a major town in South Goa. The beach can be reached by buses, motorbikes and cabs. Its better to plan a day trip to the beach, though there are some good accommodation facilities available near the shore.
