The erstwhile British cantonment of Dagshai (28 Km) is surrounded by pine trees and has a beautiful church. Subathu (16 Km) has the remains of a Gurkha Fort. Some 132 Km away, lies Renuka Lake, the largest lake in Himachal fed by underground springs.

Transportation
Regular buses and hired private cars traverse the route to Parwanoo. The closest airport to the city lies at Chandigarh that is at a distance of 22 kilometers from the city.
