The Bidar Fort - The fort at Bidar can be traced back to the fifteenth century and was built by Ahmad Wali Shah. The fort has five grand imposing entrances and at the center of the fort is an old city with monuments and structures that date back to the Bahmani era
The Rangin Mahal - Inside the fort was Mahmud Shah's palace. Within the Rangin Mahal one can find some exquisite artwork and wall carvings that reflect the excellent craftsmanship and mastery of the craftsmen of the period. Other important attractions within the Bidar fort are the Gagan Mahal, Diwan-e-Aam (hall of publice hearings), Royal Pavilion and the Takhat Mahal. The Solah Kambh Masjid within the fort is the oldest Muslim construction in Bidar.
Tombs of the Bahmani Rulers - Ashtur, a place about 3 km away from Bidar has some of the tombs of the Bahmani rulers. These tombs boast of their impressive structures and beautiful tile works and mosaics. While one of the tombs has superb tile work and flaunt Persian frescos like in the tombs of Ahmad Shah I and his son Alauddin Shah I; the others have exquisite work in stone.
Guru Nanak Jhira - This is an ancient Gurudwara (a Sikh worship place) and demands a compulsory visit on Bidar tours.
Madrassa - The Madrassa is a theological college of Arabic and Islamic theological studies and dates back to the fifteenth century. A major portion of the college is now in ruins but the elegant facade is still erect.
