refered as temple city of Kasargod. The famous Mandiyan Kolum temple
is in Ajnur, which happens to be a prime attractions of Ajnur. The
presiding deity of the temple is Bhadrakali. Other deities of the
temple are Kshetrapalan, Bhagavathi and Bhairavan. The ancient
temple has intricate wood carvings on Palazhimadhanam,
Sitaswayamvaram and Dakshayagam. A pecularity of this temple is that
a Brahmin priest performs pooja only in the noon, while the morning
and evening poojas are performed by a sect called Maniyanis. There
are 13 mosques and 1 church in Ajnur. It is a place of high
