About the Dharamdam Island Beach
The lovely and enchanting Dharamdam Island is situated 17 Km from
the heart of Kannur. The island lies 100 m from the mainland
Dharamdam. The island is lush green, covered with coconut trees,
palm trees and green bushes. Spread in an area of 5 acres, the
island is a refreshing treat to eyes. The beach island is a private
property and therefore a prior permission is required from the owner
of the area. The island is one of the prime attractions of Kannur
and attracts lots of tourists every year, inspite of being a private
property. The place was under Buddhist stronghold earlier and was
called Dharampattanam.

Air
Nearest Airport is Calicut, 109 km from Kannur. From Calicut, one
can hire taxis, buses or luxury coaches to reach to Kannur.
Rail
The Kannur railway station has some direct trains to the major
cities of Kerala and nearby states.

Kannur is very well connected with the cities of Kerala via the
