Meerut is an important tourist destination in Uttar Pradesh. Meerut also include the exciting excursions to the nearby places that include Sardhana, a beautiful town which is located at a distance of 19 km in the northwest of Meerut. This place holds a lot of historical significance and is quite popular for the Church Basilica. Saharanpur is another town that you can visit, known for its Botanical gardens that are around 150 years old.
There are good rail networks that connect Meerut on the Delhi - Dehradun route. The road networks are also good and connect Meerut to all the important places. The tourists can also avail the local transport services such as taxis, cycle rickshaws and auto-rickshaws.
