Corbett National Park
The park was established in 1936 in the memory of Jim Corbett, an author and hunter, who was also an activist for wildlife conservation. The park is spread over 520 sq km of area, with the core area of 330 sq km. Corbett National Park is one of the best preserved wildlife parks of India. The sanctuary is well known for its population of tigers, deers and other wildlife. The park is heaven for those who wants a break from the usual life and relax in the arms of nature and greenery. Nandadevi Wildlife Sanctuary
Situated next to the Nanda Devi peak, and spread over an area of 630 sq. km, is the Nanda Devi National Park. It was established in 1980. The area had largely remained undisturbed, and looks very virgin cover of forests. A unique mix of flora and fauna is characteristic of this park. The fauna includes the brown and Himalayan black bears, Himalayan tahr, snow leopards, serow, and chir pheasants. The park is mostly inaccessible, so the only option left for visitors is to trek through the jungle.

Rajaji National Park
Established in 1966 on the edge of the Dehradun valley is Rajaji National Park, covering an area of approx 820 sq. kms. The wildlife here includes elephant, tiger, panther, bear, chital, sambar, wild bear, kakar, python, monitor lizard and a large variety of avian fauna. One can find many opportunities of viewing these animals in their natural habitat here. One can enjoy the beauty of park on a Elephant-ride or by moving on fast-paced Jeeps.

Equipments required
No special equipments are required in a Jungle Safari. One can carry some basic stuff, like cloths, cameras, medicines and few eatables.

Exploring the jungle always brings out numerous surprises for both the nature lover and explorer. But in the excitement to explore the nature, people tend to forget that they have a duty to follow, to keep the environment safe and clean. While visiting any of the national parks or wildlife sanctuaries of India one must remember that they are protected areas under the Forest Department of India, so do not indulge in such activities that can go against their conservation programme. When on jungle expedition one must keep in mind that animals are present in natural habitats, ie, their home, so better don't disturb them. If you want to take photographs be careful of not disturbing the animals, remember you are in their territory.
