After a blistering spree of hits, Deepika has surprisingle tried to fit herself in a role not actually meant for her. Director Pradeep Sarkar has portrayed a set in the maze of Mumbai's chawls and has foul language aplenty. The signature dialogue from Deepika "Aisi jagah laat maroongi, puri zindagi pakad ke baitha rahega", seems to be the only highlight. All in all, Lafangey Parindey is a movie that works only in fits and starts, but mostly leaves you in a fit of yawns.

All in all, it shows that Aamir Khan produced Peepli Live starring no big names but superbly directed, strong on content & brilliant multi layered satire.
