Bajaj Auto is all set to launch Bajaj Sonic as its new entrant in the light sports bike segment targeting the young guys passionate for style and performance. In the 100-125 cc bikes segment of India, Bajaj Auto Ltd. will launch Sonic DTSi. Bajaj Sonic was displayed in 2006 auto show and may hit the roads for sale by end of 2007. Powered with the latest DTSi engine technology Bajaj Sonic will be a 100 cc bike targeted to the young males, passionate for style, speed and performance.

New Sonic will be powered by the latest DTSi (Digital Twin Spark Ignition) engine with Exhaus TEC technology. This Bajaj Bike will get Direct Injection (DI) and produce an impressive 10 ps of power that will make it more fuel efficient to satisfy the mileage conscious customers. For better riding comfort and sporty handling Bajaj Sonic DTSi will be equipped with the twin Spring-in-Spring (SNS) suspension, disc brakes and 17" wide alloy wheels.
