Chicken Kofta in Walnut Gravy

Indian food is famous for its spices and flavors. Mouth watering non vegetarian dishes are a real treat for the no veg lovers. A very popular and lavishing non vegetarian dish is the Chicken Kofta in Walnut Gravy. Here is recipe to prepare the delicacy.

Ingredients (Serves: 2) Chicken Kofta in Walnut Gravy
  • 1/2 Walnuts
  • 4 cup Chicken Stock
  • Pinch of Garam Masala Powder
  • 2 Green Cardamoms
  • 2 tbsp Fresh Cream
  • 400 gms Minced Chicken
  • 1 tbsp Garlic Paste
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin Powder
  • 2 Medium Onions
  • 1 tbsp Oil
  • 2 tbsp Tomato Paste
  • 4 Green Chillies
  • 1 tsp Red Chili Powder
  • 1 tbsp Ginger Paste
  • Salt To Taste
  1. Combine Chicken Mince, Red Chili powder, Cumin powder, Garam Masala powder and Salt and mix thoroughly.
  2. Divide into equal portions with help of a spoon.
  3. Roll each portion into a ball.
  4. Bring Chicken stock to boil, crush green Cardamoms and mix in to Chicken stock.
  5. Mix in Chicken balls to boiling stock.
  6. Lower the heat up and continue to stir fry until chicken balls are cooked and keep aside.
  7. Wash and cut green chillies.
  8. Boil Walnuts and then grind in to a fine paste.
  9. Take off and boil Onions and grind to a paste.
  10. Heat up oil, mix in boiled onion paste, stir fry until oil begins to separate, mix in Ginger- Garlic paste, cut green chillies stir fry for a moment.
  11. Mix in Tomato paste then bring to a boil.
  12. Lower the heat, mix in fresh cream, stirring continuously.
  13. Mix in koftas and bring to a boil, adjust salt.
  14. Serve hot Chicken Kofta in Walnut Gravy
