He was brought up by his grand parents and is very close to his sister. He discusses all his achievements and failures with her as he feels his parents get a little agitated when it comes to cricket. He also has a never say die attitude which helped him during the time when he was out of the team. He agrees that he is short tempered but believes that he has learnt to manage his anger well now. He has no plans of getting married and wishes to concentrate on cricket. More than watching movies, he likes to listen to soul full music as it gives him peace of mind and ease him during trying situations. he is a quite an introvert person and does not enjoy the media glare much.
