Early Life and Family

Mohammad Wasim Jr. was born on August 25, 2001, in North Wazirastan, Pakistan. He comes from a cricketing family, as his father, Mohammad Wasim Sr., was a first-class cricketer for Pakistan. Wasim's elder brother, Mohammad Asif, is also a first-class cricketer.

Wasim started playing cricket at a very young age and quickly showed his potential. He was a regular member of the Pakistan Under-19 team and was part of the squad that won the Under-19 World Cup in 2020.

Personal Life

Wasim is a very private person and does not like to talk about his personal life in the media. However, it is known that he is unmarried and has no children.

Early Cricket

Career Wasim made his first-class debut for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in November 2020. He impressed immediately, taking six wickets in his debut match. Wasim continued to perform well in domestic cricket and was soon called up to the Pakistan national team.

International Debut

Wasim made his international debut in a T20I match against the West Indies in July 2021. He made an instant impact, taking the wicket of Chris Gayle in his first over. Wasim made his ODI debut against New Zealand in September 2021 and his Test debut against Australia in February 2022.

Wasim's best performance in T20Is came against Bangladesh in January 2023, when he took 4/24. He also played a key role in Pakistan's win over India in the 2023 Asia Cup final, taking 3/25.

Test Career

Wasim has played 6 Tests for Pakistan, taking 25 wickets at an average of 27.20. He has also scored 71 runs at an average of 14.20.

Wasim's best performance in Tests came against Australia in February 2023, when he took 5/80. He also played a key role in Pakistan's win over Sri Lanka in the 2023 Test series, taking 9 wickets in two matches.
