Jasprit Bumrah is an Indian international cricketer who plays for the Indian cricket team in all formats of the game. A right-arm fast bowler with a unique bowling action, Bumrah is considered one of the best bowlers in the world. He plays for Gujarat in domestic cricket and Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League.
Bumrah was born on December 6, 1993, in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India. He was brought up by his single mother, Daljit Bumrah, after his father passed away when he was five years old. Bumrah's mother worked as a school teacher to support the family.
Bumrah started playing cricket at a young age. He was coached by Kishore Trivedi at the MRF Pace Foundation in Chennai. Bumrah made his first-class debut for Gujarat in 2013 and his Twenty20 debut in 2012.

Bumrah has played 30 Tests for India, taking 123 wickets at an average of 22.91 and a strike rate of 50.7. He is the fastest Indian bowler to reach 100 Test wickets, achieving the feat in just 24 matches.
Bumrah has been involved in a few controversies during his career. In 2018, he was accused of ball-tampering during a Test match against South Africa. However, he was cleared of all charges by the ICC.
