Early Life and Family

Atkinson was born on January 19, 1998, in Chelsea, London, England. He is the son of former Surrey cricketer Mark Atkinson. Atkinson attended St. Paul's School in London, where he was a member of the cricket team.

Atkinson began playing cricket at a young age and joined the Surrey academy in 2016. He made his first-class debut for Surrey in 2020 and his List A and Twenty20 debuts in 2021. Atkinson quickly established himself as one of the most promising young bowlers in England.
