Jos Buttler Introduction

Jos Buttler is an English cricketer who is the captain of the England cricket team in limited overs cricket, and plays for the England Test team. In domestic cricket he represents Lancashire, having previously played for Somerset, and has played in multiple Twenty20 leagues, including for Mumbai Indians and Rajasthan Royals in the Indian Premier League.

Early Life and Family

Jos Buttler was born in Taunton, Somerset, England on 8 September 1990. He is the eldest of three children born to James and Sue Buttler. His father was a club cricketer and his mother was a school teacher.

Buttler attended King's College, Taunton, where he excelled in both cricket and rugby. He was a member of the Somerset Academy and made his first-class debut for the county at the age of 17.

Early Cricket Career

Buttler quickly established himself as one of the most promising young batsmen in England. He scored his maiden first-class century in 2010 and was selected for the England Lions squad in 2011.

Buttler made his England debut in a T20I match against India in June 2011. He scored his maiden T20I century in 2012 and was named in the England squad for the 2012 ICC World Twenty20.

International Debut

Buttler made his ODI debut for England against Pakistan in June 2012. He scored his maiden ODI century in 2013 and was named in the England squad for the 2013 ICC Champions Trophy.
