Maxwell is an all-rounder who bats right handed and bowl off break. He represents Victoria and Melbourne Stars in Australian domestic cricket. Maxwell was a member of the Australian team that won the 2015 Cricket World Cup and the 2021 ICC T20 World Cup, where he scored the winning boundary to win the country's maiden T20 world title.

Early Life and Family

Glenn Maxwell was born on 14 October 1988 in Kew, Victoria, Australia. He has two older siblings, a brother and a sister. His father, Neville Maxwell, was a club cricketer and his mother, Lyn Maxwell, was a keen sportswoman.

Early Cricket Career

Maxwell began playing cricket at a young age and was a talented junior player. He represented Victoria at underage level and made his first-class debut for the state in 2009.
