He trained at the akhada (wrestling school) in the Chhatrasal Stadium from the age of 14. Sushil Kummar's father was an MTNL bus driver and mother a housewife. He made sure that his efforts don't go in vain and earned bronze medal at Beijing olympics in 2008.
