Vijender Singh is the iconic Indian boxer who bagged Bronze medal in Beijing Olympics.He did his schooling in his village only and also received his bachelors degree in local collage in Bhiwani. He turned up towarsd boxing through coach Jagdish Singh, who appreciated his talent and took him to Bhiwani Boxing club. After his Olympics win, Vijender emerged as a celebrity & took part in ramp shows. His elder brother Manoj succeeded to enter into the Indian Army in 1998 with his boxing credentials & decided to support Vijender financially so he could continue his boxing training.
